Folding Hunter

The KA-BAR Folding Hunter is designed with a nod to nostalgia as it rekindles the features of the old KA-BAR model 1189, a design popular for years with customers because of its straight forward lock and traditional clip point folding blade. The old 1189 featured wood handles and was carried in a pouch or pocket, whereas the new 3189 has been updated with more modern G10 handle scales and a reversible pocket clip for more convenient carry.

  - great product. It's light weight and durable. Comfortable enough to wear inside under sports shorts. I would like to see the same knife scaled down in length for a more conservative rofile while being deployed in a populated area. Recomend this product to all my friends at work. Price is amazing considering it's great quality.

  - This is the 110 Killer! I was planning on buying and then modifying a 110 to include a pocket clip and thumb stud. But then I found this wonderful Knife! I like to think I am a practical collector most of my knives are EDC and will not spend their lives on a shelf but in hand and this one has currently taken up heavy rotation even over $100 knives in my collection. This is a no brainer must-have knife. Ka-Bar has really gotten my attention as more than just a legendary fixed blade producer. Great job! I am looking forward to adding more of your folders to my collection and letting the secret out to many of my "knife-Life" friends about this knife without a doubt!

  - Either you love it or hate it. It is a very long, slender blade. You will be surprised when you first see its real size. If you like knives like that, you will like this one immensely. If you prefer more traditional knives, then maybe look elsewhere. Despite its long length, it is extremely comfortable with an excellent clip. It was my EDC for years without complaint. Its blade and handle are of excellent quality for the price, and I would pay more than its full price for one. While never able to compete with hundred-dollar knives, it is a cheap alternative that is elegant in its simplicity. I received this knife as a gift from my father several years ago. Before then, I had only ever had cheap trash knives. We spent forever trying blades of every type, rejecting each one. Finally, I found this one. It fit perfectly in my hand, and I was in love. I was young and dumb and had never had a decent knife before, and I put that blade through all kinds of abuse. Despite this, it held up against my teenage stupidity for years until I finally retired it to the sock drawer after I finally bent the tip. I adore this knife model and still keep my battered old blade in my desk despite having moved up to more expensive knives--worth every dollar.
