  - I bought a Tanto MULE the day I graduated high school. It's been 3 years since, and I've carried this knife just about everyday, minus trips to the airport. At first, I was a bit disappointed that it was made in Taiwan, but that was assuaged every time I took it out for EDC. The AUS8 steel holds an edge really well, and only needs minor touching up every now and again. The Torx screws are easy to maintain, and I've tightened all the ones on the knife only once, a couple years ago. Save for the usual love scratches, this thing is still going. I wouldn't be surprised if this was still my EDC 5 years from now. Good weight to it, I use the pommel as a hammer from time to time. The thumb peg is solid and excellently sized and quick to draw. As a tool, it is useful, and as a self-defense knife, I'm confident with it in my pocket; I definitely wouldn't hesitate to pull it if I needed to.

  - I just bought this knife a couple of days ago and so far it is a good knife. it is a bit big if you are used to small pocket knives and you run the risk of cutting yourself when opening it if you are not used to it if you open it with your thumbs. But it has a great grip and you can change the pocket clip to either side of the handel for right or left hand users. The knife holds a edge vary well and comes out of the package vary sharp. All in all I highly recommend this knife for outdoor and heavy duty work.Great job Ka-Bar.

  - I love this knife out of all the knives I've owned this is the only one that holds up to my life style plus I'm in the marines so it takes a little more abuse than your average knife. It did take some getting use to the pocket clip being on opposite end of the knife but it's easier to grab out of your pocket once you geta hang of it as far as I'm conserned this is the only knife I'll ever need again

  - I bought this knife 5 years ago, and it has never disapointed me. Ive used it for a number of tasks; from a chisle to a hammer and emergancy screw driver on the job. Its been hammerd on, used as a pry bar and never let me down. I use to work at a junk yard and this knife cut through countless radeator hoses, battery cables, even a lock picki can say that I have bought other folding knives after this one, but none of them held up to my job. I will never think twice about owning another knife. It is a great tool and if it ever comes down to it a great self deffence knife.

  - I bought my Mule in Baghdad in 2005. It has served me well. The blade finish has worn off, and it s edge has been resharpened quite a bit, but it is the most durable folding knife I have ever seen. 8 years of continuous hard use. I hope I get another 8 out of it. It's poked holes in car doors, busted windshields, been used as a foot peg in the side of a tree, as a fire poker, and for cutting nails. You can't ask for much more and still expect a knife to open and close clean and tight, and still cut hair.

  - Ok!! I owned the Ka-Bar Mule 3050 desert serrated. An I absolutely loved that knife, except the serrations, me and that knife have been through some deep waters. An I lost it in 2008. I have been wanting to replace it so bad ever since. But I was reluctant at first from all the hit and misses I have been hearing from the QC dept on new products. But I finally got the nerve and bought another one in 2018. I was not disappointed in the least!! It is exactly like I rememberd it to be!! It arrived on time and in good packing. Decently strong lock up and shave sharp out of the box. Aus8 is not quite top shelf steel. but it's definitely not the bottom like other steels I own. It's a very decent all around steel!! Update 2021!! The nice sturdy pocket clip was a little tight in and out of the pocket at first. It solved it self overtime. But so did the first one I had. So no problem there!! I have put this knife to work in many situations. From Thrift store production to mechanic work to fishing to camp/hunt. To general E.D.C tasks. I do not ever go anywhere I can go without it on my person or in my truck. An for a well made very solid, bet your life on it, work horse of a knife for less then $70 that I got for $49. I am sry but I can't beat that with a stick!! Not all new Ka-Bar knives are quite up to par with what they used to be!! But rest assured in my experience this one is a winner and a lifer!! All in all I totally recommend this handsome beast of a knife!!!

  - This knife was a gift given to me 11 years ago. I've beaten it uglier than sin and it's still going strong. The handle has a lot of meat to it to hold on to and the blade is still good for shaving. If you're thinking about buying a knife you can beat the piss out of and stands the test of time, this is the one you're looking for.

  - I have bought several Ka-Bar Jarosz spearpoint titanium framed flippers and they impressed me. So I started checking out the Black mule made in Taiwan. It is the sharpest blade out of box I have experienced. I have $200 knives that had to be professionally sharpened to this level. The Mule is big but ergonomic. Weighty but perfectly balanced. Best slicing performance for the dollar, so I bought a second one. Amazing value, amazing knife!!
