A design collaboration between Ethan Becker of BK&T and John Benner of TDI, the Tac Tool smashes, bashes, pries, hammers and cuts. It is equally powerful at lifting stubborn hinge pins, prying open doors or windows, and hammering out glass as it is efficient at cutting 550 cord.   - I have been a fan of Ka-Bar knives for years (and recently Becker) and this blade reaffirms my love for this company. Though this blade is basically a sharpened pry-bar and has had some negative comments here and there, let me explain why I love my 3 and how it is a great asset to my collection. I have used the 3 to pry boards and open crates, hammer and remove nails, cut wire and rope, rip the hinges from the posts of my old gate, dig out and dislodge large stones from rocky ground to lay down pipe, remove shingles and tile, chop, baton thick logs infested with knots, used as a chisel and draw-knife for some of my projects...it also makes a pretty bad-a$$ bottle opener... Everything I ask this blade to do, it does without question. It may not be the best woods blade, but it gets the job done. This is a blade made for duty and hard work. At first, I didn't like it. After a while, I decided to use it and it is now a standby tool of mine. It now sits stripped, convexed and polished on my shelf waiting to be used again... I am proud to be an owner of the BK3

  - Why wasn't this tool available when I was in the fire department!? This thing is a friggin beast! I can think of hundreds of emergency situations where this monster would save the day. For my uses, this is going to go on my GHB (once I'm done playing with it that is) and stay there. My BK7 has been mu go to "outdoors" knife. Now, if they'd just make a Becker combat Kukri, I'd be all set...or maybe a Becker tomahawk?! Please? 😀

  - Here in Silicon Valley, the heart of earthquake country, I keep a "go bag" ready just in case we need it. Along with the tent, a water purifier, the freeze dried food and sleeping bags, I have a couple of knives. After looking at the Razel style knives, the BK came along at the right price and I have added it to the kit. I Love: - The sheer heft of this beast. It went through 1/2 inch poly rope with one hit. - The rock solid blade that looks up to almost any emergency task that using my more "tactical" knives for is a little scary. This thing is a pry bar with benefits! - That it is Made in America - Grivory handle is strong and gives a good grip even when wet. - The sheath locks in the blade firmly and has all the MOLLE, HARP,... attachment points that anyone could want. - It is non-threatening. No sharp point is pretty friendly, but I'd hate to get hit with it. What could be better: - It wasn't really sharp when I got it. Easily remedied, but not up to my standards out of the box - The chisel tip is not exactly "square" out of the box. Again, easy to fix, but a little lag in the Quality Control. - The seat belt cutter won't cut anything - Where is the bottle opener? Overall Great, but would be excellent if Ka-Bar invested a little more in Quality Control before shipping. That said, this goes in the go-bag and perhaps even on the next camping trip.

  - I'm sure that this knife is fantastic, but unfortunately I returned it because I intend to keep it in a sheath and whoever created the sheath for the tac tool did a very poor job. It is EXTREMELY tight. Not a little snug, I prefer that, I'm talking so horribly tight on the blade that you have to pull so hard to get it out that it's dangerous. Please fix this problem KA Bar. The belt loop is also dramatically too big.

  - I am Marine Corps Veteran, career law enforcement and carried this Awesome tool for 11 years. I put it through the paces and was always impressed. This knife was used as a secondary breaching tool and always held up under extreme pressure. It also could be a wicked hand weapon. Highly recommended this knife!

  - After 3 years of daily use of my "Butta-Knife" (everything but a knife) I unfortunately broke it last night. Not by any fault of the quality of the blade but from user error. As stated by previous reviews this blade does everything. Hammer, shovel,chisel, pry-bar, beer bottle opener etc. I almost shed a tear when I broke it. This knife has been an extra appendage and I don't know how I am going to make it till I get another one. I highly recommend this tool to anyone who wants a work horse on their belt.

  - This thing is indestructible!! I worked on a SWAT Entry team for years and have used this "tool" to pry open tons of residential doors, pry into vehicles, for my business to chop 2x4's and even bashed it with a sledgehammer about 100 times to break into a large floor safe. Theirs is barely even a scratch on it after all these year!! Amazing that's all I can say.

  - "TacTool" is the appropriate name! It is not just a knife! The weight and heft makes it real working tool. The chisel end angles up to the full thickness of the blade body giving the strength and leverage for prying. I would of liked to seen it come a bit sharper from the factory like other KA-BAR knives I have.
