  - I am really impressed by this knife. The design is that of a true tanto fighting knife. this is no toy, and the thickness of the blade as well as the CroVan steel Ka-Bar chooses to use is optimum for strength and durability over other knife manufacturers' choices of steel. In the real world where your life may depend on your choice of knives, KA-BAR is the best choice.

  - I was not impressed with this knife. The blade is ground unevenly, and is not even straight, it has a noticeable bend to it right out of the package. Purchased directly from Ka-Bar. Thumbs up for made in USA, but I expected better from this reputable company. I will not buy another Ka-Bar knife.

  - So I got this knife many years ago, and it holds up to the test of time. I have been camping all over the US and everywhere I go I take this knife with me. It can cut all day everything from sticks and small trees to rope and even cutting a piece of bread in half for breakfast and and still holds a fantastic Edge, it can Pierce pretty much anything with enough force. I treat it as though it's indestructible, and so far, I haven't been wrong. The handle is simple it doesn't Contour fantastically, but it is still comfortable to hold. It's not designed for chopping and if you do it too much it can be a little rough on the hands. The coating doesn't come off easy but if you abused it like I do it will scratch off. So to sum up this review. If you want a solid knife that as far am I Aware will never break, can cut reliably and hold an edge, and is able to pierce whatever object needs to be pierced this is the kinfe for you.

  - Put the knife through dust, mud, rain. Wipes clean everytime and maintains a razor edge. This is one tough blade. I was going to buy a custom but why? The brand has served our military for years. I want the full-size with the brown handle next as I know the durability will last longer than and out-perform me. If you're thinking about one, do it, you'll be happy forever.
