  - I love mine. I grew up watching my dad, a veteran marine use his USMC for everything. He never went easy on any of his tools and his USMC is no different. After watching the torture he put it through I had to have one of my own. I ended up buying this particular knife because it didn't have any military insignias on it. I'm a proud supporter of the U.S. military but I am not a member. I felt the knife was a better fit for me for that reason. Aside from the pommel which has a lanyard hole, the handguard being straight, and the insignias on the knife it is virtually the the same as the USMC. This knife has taken on every task I've thrown at it with flying colors. It came out of the box razor sharp and held that edge for along time even after using it to chop down some small trees and to skin a few deer. Sharpening it back to that edge was was simple enough. I'm sure I will get many years of use out of it and will buy another one if it ever does get retired which will likely never happen.

  - The sheath and knife came without flaws. It was only when I put the knife into the sheath. Marks started to appear. Leather sheath is sensitive to markings. Looking for a knife to replace my 2 incher in my car. This one is to big. Completely wrong. Will keep it for utility purposes.

  - I bought this knife last year and have used it very frequently on all hunting and outdoor settings. I have cut wood, skinned and gutted large animals, and much much more. Through all of the abuse on this blade never once have I had to sharpen it. Still shaves my arm clean in one shave. The handle is very comfortable in my hands, and with some good care of the leather it only gets better. My dad who has very large hands still finds room on the handle to keep good control over the blade. If there is one downfall to the knife would be the size. Almost a foot long from end to end, now add the sheath to that and it is one long blade on your hip. In fact most of the time I strap the knife to the side of my backpack and keep my smaller KA-BAR folding knife on my hip. So to be more specific this blade can be a little big on the hip, but makes up for that in long perfect performance in your hand. Pros: durable, sharp, comfortable in hands, leather grip, leather sheath (does mark up with use pretty easy but that actually looks cool), nice balance, not too heavy on the blade. Cons: Size can be uncomfortable on the hip for long times.

  - Use this knife for filleting, cutting steaks, cutting Paracord, whatever you need on the trail or campsite. I recently bought a second one to give to my son for Christmas. KA-BAR knives always come razor sharp and ready to work. Highly recommend this knife.

  - I've lusted after this beauty for so long and now, now I'm the proud owner of this awesome knife. I've applied conditioner to the scabbard and the knife handle and it is a thing of beauty.
