  - This knife is absolutely perfect for a person like myself. The handle is comfortable, has perfect length and shape, the blade is the perfect length for the tasks that I perform (cutting packages, prepping tinder for fire, shelter construction), and I hope to use it soon for filleting fish and dressing game (pretty sure it'll be perfect). The thickness is perfect for any number of small to medium tasks. Do not expect this knife to perform large tasks such as splitting logs and such. It was not (in my opinion) designed for that, so make sure you are buying a knife designed to do what you need it to do. I keep this one in my car AT ALL TIMES as I know I can trust it to function when I need it. The sheath is great, made of durable material, attaches easily to MOLLE gear, and has a nice small pouch for either a small flashlight, whet stone, or flint. This will be a great investment for those who even do wood working as it is easy to handle and manipulate the blade.

  - love it. razor sharp out of the box, others have said otherwise. scales are flush when adjusted. pummels strong, lot less heavy than a bk2, I'm backpacking and pounds equal pain. it's no hatchet but chops well for it's size.sheath is great molle compatible. compartment holds my leatherman or a magnesium fire-starter. made in usa! 'merica!!!

  - Was gifted this excellent knife as a gift from my fellow U.S. Army Soldiers. A quality knife with a design towards survival and bushcraft. The option of two sets (Black and Coyote Brown) of handle scales was an added bonus. Knife was sharp out of the box and the black grit coating on the blade seems durable and causes very little drag during cutting. The handle feels great in your hand but could have been a little thicker for my likes. I am looking forward to the Factory Micarta Scales that are soon to be released by KA-BAR. The blade is very well balanced and easy to manage and maintain. The sheath was such a quality durable Molle sheath that it eliminates any desire to purchase or craft an after market version. My only gripe was that the hex tool screws are an odd in-between size. They require a T-20 key tool to remove and adjust. Even then I slightly stripped the inside of one...and have no future replacement if condition worsens. :( I am a Soldier....and I trust KA-BAR with my life! I would recommend this knife for anyone. Thank you

  - Amazing knife. I bought this years ago in a Cabelas bargain cave, back when that was a thing. Best $35 I ever spent. This knife has been wife me in the field for years. I have used this for everything from the basic wire stripper, pry bar, ground for locate equipment, sod cutter, shovel, and that added feeling of protection from loose dogs in a trailer park (utility workers know this problem well). I finally just resharpened this blade. It holds up for an extremely long time and keeps doing whatever job I throw at it. There are a lot of complaints about this sheath out there. Let me stop you right there, most are just plain wrong and don't understand it at all. Its perfect. It may be large, but it holds the knife snugly and securely (after a few tries of stretching the straps to snap together) and also holds any standard size Leatherman or folding multi-tool. For a field worker, this thing is perfect, solid, and just what you need even if you don't know it at the moment. I just bought 2 extra sheaths for this. One will probably sit for 10 years as they last a long time, I just don't want to search when that time comes again. Even when all ratty and frayed like a dog has chewed on it for weeks.

  - A DAMN fine 4" blade! My ESEE 4 has been retired.The weight, thickness, and the handle are as perfect as that come. I added the Mircata scales, and stripped mine. Just a perfect all around camping, hiking day blade. The sheath, not so much. But the knife is a 5 out of 5!

  - The BK16 is an excellent companion knife. It's rugged yet deft. It's the very capable little brother of the BK7. Thick spine, sharp edge, flat grind, nice ramp and plenty of heft for a companion knife. It can handle many campsite tasks. The sheath conjures a lot of negative talk across the internet and I'd bet 90% come from wannabes, not guys who have actually scouted a perimeter or even walked a patrol. No one needs a sheath that goes "click" when the knife is seated. Think about that for a minute. A nice, quiet sheath, forgiving whether the knife is placed edge forward or back, plenty of options to add some kit without adding to bulk... that's an asset. That is the stock sheath. Great job Mr Becker, great job.

  - I purchased this knife 2021. I wanted to wait a year before I done a review on it so I could write a realistic review. I knew I was buying quality as expected as I have bought several kabar knives over the years. This BK 16 design by Becker has been my favorite go to knife for all my outdoor activities since purchase. Very ergonomically comfortable. I use it every week whether camping, boating, hunting, or fishing. My other kabars have there place in my routines as well. I have no complaints from any of them. Very pleased customer and look forward to many more products. I am definitely a kabar/ Becker knife advocate to anyone. I recommend these knives to anyone and especially those who approach me asking about the one in my hand at that time. Keep the good quality going. Thanks

  - The sheat is crap, the knife rattles in it. But that's the only downside! I made a kydex sheat for it and solved the problem. The knife itself is perfectly balanced and the thickness of the steel is a litlle less than the Esee knives wich is good when you want a multi-purpose knife and not only a wood chopper. The knife is compact but sufficient. A perfect companion for every trip... If this knife comes with a decent sheat i'll give it 5 stars instead of 4, no doubt!
