  - When I first purchased this knife by mail, I had no idea what a real hunk of cutlery it would be. I've been using it (hard) for about two years now, and what a knife it is! It takes a hair splitting edge and holds it, too. I seldom carry any other knife afield now....the Becker BKII has spoiled me......now every other knife seems like a toy. Yes, I use it for cleaning game, cutting rope, whittleing fire sticks and general knife work, and won't be without it. Don't think I'll need another in this lifetime.....with this much metal in the build, it'll last as long as I'm here. Top rate knife!

  - An impressive blade, scarily sharp, well designed, confident feel, an instant companion. A marvelous piece of cutlery that every man who deals in the real world should carry.

  - This knife is a tank, but with a bit of getting-used-to it can maneuver like a sports car. It's the definition of an all-around knife. I do a lot of bushcrafting and woodcarving, and the BK22 gets the job done in both areas. It chops well above its size and yet it can perform detailed cuts with relative ease. I got a custom MaggieZebra Nordic-style leather sheath and some TommyTheWho African-Rosewood handle scales, I got stainless hardware, and I put Loctite on the screws. It's now my favorite knife, and whenever I'm not in the woods it's riding in a kydex IWB rig at 1 o'clock. Overall, between the kydex rig, custom leather, and wood scales, I've put about $250 into this knife. It's the best knife I've ever used, and I'd gladly spend double that if I had to. The knife holds up to serious abuse, and I've done a ton of heavy work with it. It's handled batoning through hard seasoned firewood and chopping thick vines. The coating has come off significantly but due to using it as a kitchen knife every now and then it's developed a nice blue and gray patina. I keep it oiled with mineral oil and I've never had any rust show up. Pros: -extremely strong, you never have to worry about breaking it unless you're actively trying to do so -large enough to chop -small enough to whittle -awesome edge retention, I've put this knife through hell and back and I've only sharpened it once. It's still sharp enough to shave my leg hairs with. -surprisingly good balance, very comfortable to hold and use -At around 10 inches OAL it's just small enough to carry IWB if you get used to it. -the BK22 sheath, although it's not what I usually use, is awesome. It's double-stitched cordura and the cargo pocket holds my Leatherman and SAK well. The MOLLE back is great for putting the knife on my pack, and the lanyard holes at the bottom of the sheath work well for a leg strap. -the holes at the top of the sheath near the handle are great for two reasons. If you're in the military or doing crazy parachuting stuff or anything like that, you can make a redundant retention system easily. I'm not in any of those things so I don't have one set up on mine. The other reason the holes are great is that you can put two paracord loops on them and you've got yourself a baldric-carry rig. I occasionally do this, although I've made myself a leather baldric rig that my leather sheath attaches to and I usually just use that when I want a baldric rig. If you have never used baldric rigs, they're great for cold weather. If you're wearing coats or other clothing items like that, baldric rigs save you from having to lift up your coat to access your belt-carry sheath. They're very convenient for that reason, and the BK22 sheath allows for an awesome baldric carry rig. Cons: -none I couldn't be happier with this knife. It's truly an amazing tool.   - This is an excellent knife. This is my most favorite knife ever owned. I got this BK22 knife and its seath both are very good quality product in this price category.

  - Pros: Excellent value knife - brutal look and feel. Solid 6mm wide spine and full tang with excellent pummel. My personal favourite. Cons: handle can be slippery - but easily fixed. Insignia is etched rather than stamped. Sheath fasteners are too small to do up, meaning the knife is not secured - however for the overall price it is still a good deal.
