  - I bought this knife a few years ago after extensive reseach and found it to be the most compfortable knife that could handle any chore ! I have used this knife to baton countless logs, clear brush, and just all around camp chores. You won't regret buying this knife. It's the best in class blade for the price ! ENJOY !

  - I've had this knife for about two years now. I've used it for tough yard work and miscellaneous chores. This knife is amazing, it holds a great edge and is of sturdy construction. The sheath isn't amazing and the knife can slice the straps for the handle if not careful. Other than that this is one of the best knives I've owned.

  - I have owned many KaBar knives and this one is the best (the fixed blade warthog is a close second). It is well balanced, comfortable to use, and holds a wonderful edge. I like the thumb notches for precision cutting. I use it in the woods for cutting rope and camp tasks and I also use it at home to slice large cuts of meat and ribs. It is a very versatile knife and MADE IN THE USA. I am glad that Kabar and Ethan Becker have teamed up, this is a great knife for the money.

  - Just bought this knife via chestnut ridge knife shops in penselvannia. I paid 75 dollars plus shipping and let me tell you: this knife is worth easily 2 or three times that much. By far the SHARPEST knife or any tool for that matter that i have ever encountered. This knife is absolutely gorgeous and the pictures online dont do justice to its size or beauty, It balances right in front of the hilt giving it stupendous swinging power and has an extremely ergonomically pleasing grip. Its heavy enough to provide excellent chopping power and still light enough to keep you from getting tired out during prolonged use. Eathan Becker is a pure genius. And with a partnership with such a reliable company as kabar he has created one of the best tools possible.Savage sharp. Amazing edge retention. Strong as an ox and excellent for prying. The full tang extends past the removable handle to create a very useful hammer/glass smasher butt. First thing i did when i got this home was to run out and chop down a 4 inch tree. And boy does it chop! hoping to do some more extensive testing this easter weekend so ill be sure to update my opinion on this knife but for now all i can say is this: get this knife. for the money-for any money- it is a steal and you will not regret it.

  - Best knife i have ever owned and still going. i have many knives and was looking for an all around great knife for chopping batoning feild craft and durability. This knife was able to chop down a 6 inch tree with very little problems on my first day in the field with it and made easy work of anything wrist sized and lower. for heavy duty choping i did amazing for the wieght. after a full day of using this blade i took it home and was still able to shave not just cut but shave paper with it. this i my favorite knife and i own eathan beckers bk 2 and his Bk 4 (Machax) and i believe that it is the better of the three. in closing this is the best knife i own and has drawn me to be a regular KABAR customer.

  - I think that this knife is an all around perfect tool. It looks awesome to begin with, secondly it has an amazing grip. This knife also is about the toughest blade i have ever encountered. This knife is deffinately worth 95 dollars, which is what i paid for it. If you are looking for a good knife this is the one you should buy withoiut a doubt.

  - When i got this knife it was in pretty good shape. The sheath is very well made despite its origin. The sheath seems very strong and there is a lot of ways to attach it to something. its a little bulky but what can you expect from a nine inch blade which looks amazing. My blade chipped a little but it was probably from hitting a knot in the wood i was chopping.

  - Great knife! I think it's a shame though, that the logo is no longer engraved into the blade. It's just printed on there now. Also, the top screw came loose after chopping a couple of branches the first time. After having tightened it, it seems to stay locked.

  - I have been researching this knife for about 6 months now. Watching videos and reading reviews written by pros. First off you must know I own probably 40 or 50 knives. I'm kind of a knife Nutt. Well I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the bad dog Bk9. I have never researched a knife so in depth as this one. I am very very satisfied with my purchase. I can sell every other knife I own. Lol because this knife fills all my needs. It is the one knife I feel fits the bill for all others. Not to big. Not to small. Great quality and perfectly designed. Cutting, chopping, heavy work and detailed work. It's the perfect knife. You must own this knife if you own any knives...I do not work for k Bar nor do I work for Becker.   - First things first, this knife is a BEAST. It made it so I don't even need to carry a hatchet out on expeditions. It performs field chores extremely well. I got one for my brother in the Marine Corps and he was thoroughly impressed. The knife is extremely durable and has become a close friend in the field.

  - i received this knife as a gift and I absolutely love it. It's very well balanced,mabout 1" from the handle, and it's lighter than I expected. At first look I thought it was just a rugged chopper, but not hardly! It's light, comfortable, sharp, and strong. A rugged utility Bowie that could take on a bear--classic ka-bar. Although comfortable, secure, and indestructible, the handle is very smooth and can be slippery under certain conditions. The promel is subtle but prominent enough for excellent utility for blunt impact. I'm not a fan of polyester sheaths, but I like this one. It has a polyurethane molded insert for the blade and a smaller version of the same behind the front pocket, which makes me want to add a small utility knife to it like those that accompany a Gurkha. The sheath is well made, very versital, and I can't think of anything I would do to improve on it. This knife is an excellent and trustworthy new companion.

  - Are there better knives out there? Probably... are there better knives out there for the price of the BK9? I highly doubt it. The handle might be too smooth for some people, but there's a purpose behind that (to prevent blisters after swinging this thing for hours at a time). Ethan really thought of everything. Upgrade to micarta handles and you'll have a tool that will outlive you. I've taken this knife and countless trips, it is the EXCALLIBUR of camp knives. A true workhorse. I wish Kabar would offer a leather sheath, even if it's not super high end (like a 20$ one that comes with a standard Kabar). Other than that, I can't thinj of a single thing I would change. Perfect balance, perfect steel, perfect perfect perfect. There's a reason this blade has basically flawless reviews. I believe that this design will become a timeless classic, on par with the Kephart design or a traditional kukri. There's simply not a single thing wrong with it, period. I will be a Kabar customer for life. To read/learn more, check out the Becker thread on bladeforums.com the bk9 is referred to as "the king" over there and has an almost mythical respect (for good reason). If you pick this thing up it just begs to be put to hard work. Tough as a pry bar and sharp as a scalpel. Buy one now, it'll be the best knife purchase of your life.

  - This knife is the worst piece of crap I ever owned!!! O.K. enough with the jokes and on with the truth I've owned this knife for at least 7 years now its so ugly is beautiful I research for 3 years before I purchased it I watched this thing put through things that no normal person would ever do with a knife of this caliber and it withstood things that knives costing close to $200.00 than the BK-9 could not. And I would not trade this knife for one costing $200.00 more than the BK-9 I've done no modifications to it since I've owned I find the sheath to be just fine the outer pocket was perfect and holds a DIY fishing kit I made myself and a fire steel. Make no mistake about it this is a work hose that won't let you down,yes there are many knives on the market but this one works fine for me the price was not a deciding factor for me it was the performance size and weight it is pack-able simple yet a very versatile. In short for someone my size and stature this is knife perfection.

  - I love this knife but had to get a new sheath. I started with the kabar u.s.m.c the utility combat mini the fighting knife 1271 and the big brother all great knives then I got the bk 2 and 3 then i got the bk9 the bk9 is my favorite and the bk2 is the most used.

  - I love my Becker knives. My BK9 is so sharp, I used it to slice certain types of meat before cooking. I have also used mine to hack branches off of shrubs with no dulling of the edge. It would be my go to knife for pretty much anything for which you would use knives with blades 7 inches and longer.
