  - Be aware these knives are not just "short" they are entirely smaller than your older brothers Ka Bar. I am not a big guy and my hands are not large but this knife seems more fitting used as a letter opener than for any sort of bushcraft/ jungle warfare which those who buy Ka Bars fantasize about. A quality little knife but not what I was expecting, guess I should have checked into the dimensions a bit more.

  - smaller then imagined it would be. but perfect size for me. came sharp out of the box. took me all of ten minutes to make it shaving sharp. USA made and the knife shows it. work of art as well as a perfect tool. mahalos kabar this knife is just my size.

  - I have always wanted to add a KA-BAR to my collection and was finally able to get this one last year. Since I have purchased it, it has been my EDC. It is small enough to carry that it does not get in the way or stand out too much. I also use it regularly when working outdoors, grilling, fishing, or cutting wood for kindling. It has also taken a beating a time or two with no signs of damage. I highly recommend it. I recommend so much that this Christmas I bought myself as second KA-BAR short, this time the Black Kraton G Fighting/Utlity knife.
